When Feeling Restless ~

When I’m feeling down,
sluggish and restless
when I feel the effects
of my uneasiness.

I go to God and ask Him,
to come and comfort me
so that from my worries
He can set me free.

When I’m feeling sluggish,
listless and lethargic
before I become . . .
completely apathetic.

I go to my Savior,
and ask Him to renew
the heart He gave me
with hope and joy anew.

When I’m feeling restless,
nervous and fidgety . . .
I praise God in advance
for bringing me stability!

~~~~~~~~
Why are you cast down, O my soul?
And why are you disquieted within me?
Hope in God;
For I shall yet praise Him,
The help of my countenance and my God. Psalm 42:11
    Well said, restlessness as a form of spiritual hunger that can ultimately lead one to seek a deeper understanding of God. It is not a permanent or real state, but a “dream” or illusion from which a person can be awakened through a better understanding of God, who is all-good and all-powerful.
