Remember The Persecuted

(Today is international day of prayer)

In my prayer time this morning I was reminded how blessed I am, that I can worship and pray without fear of persecution. That I can own and read a Bible, in my own home. My heart was touched by the spirit for the suffering of brothers and sisters in other countries, where being a Christian is not a safe choice. Therefore I was sure that my Father God wanted me to share with you today the need for support for our brethren. I beg you my dear reader, think on these things. Pray for the persecuted brethren, maybe get involved in a supporting organization. But please do not just give it a few seconds, instead commit to doing something in God’s name for His children.

With all prayer and petition pray at all times in the Spirit, and with this in view, be on the alert with all perseverance and petition for all the saints, and pray on my behalf, that utterance may be given to me in the opening of my mouth, to make known with boldness the mystery of the gospel. Ephesians 6:18-19.

Absolutely necessary, we should remember the persecuted because such experiences, while challenging, provide opportunities for spiritual growth and a deeper demonstration of divine Love and Truth. I do not mean a passive remembrance in the sense of merely feeling sympathy, but rather an active, prayerful response rooted in the principles of Christ.
