WHAT DO YOU THINK?

With all the craziness in the world and our lives these days I have been sharing a little 3 Circle DIAGRAM that has been helpful to me.

It begins with GOD’S DESIGN. God has a wonderful design for our lives. Although we knew about this design, we do not always accept it or appreciate it. Honestly, I rebelled against it…I wanted to be my own boss and do things my way. I departed God’s design which is called SIN. Everyone has done this.

Unfortunately, sin takes us all to BROKENNESS… struggling relationships, isolation, despair, shame emptiness, addiction, feeling used, etc. In fact, all the world is broken as seen in crime, wars, violence, sickness and death. We do not like brokenness and try to fix our brokenness by numbing our pain, curing ourselves, changing ourselves but often things get worse.

The Good News, the GOSPEL is that a God sent his son, Jesus, to live a perfect life, die the death we deserved on the cross and be raised from the dead. God took all our sin and put it on Jesus and took all Jesus’ righteousness and puts it on anyone who believes on Jesus. This makes one right with God.

All we must do is REPENT and BELIEVE. Repent means to change our mind about trying to fix our own brokenness and turn to Jesus through believing in his death, burial and resurrection to be right with God. Once we repent and believe Jesus helps us begin to RECOVER and PURSUE God’s design.

Does that make sense? Anything preventing you from repenting and believing the good news today? Let me know what you think.

Well said, Doctor, thank you. Brokenness is the most difficult place to be, and yet after I stopped relying on myself and turned to God, the most beautiful. I was and am still broken, however there are times reading a chapter of the Old Testament, a chapter of Psalm, and a chapter of the New Testament, that God is speaking so clearly through His truth. Instead of a daily step, it’s as if He helps me span the Grand Canyon in one stride. Praise God! There are no coincidences and everything happens for His perfect plan.

He miraculously cured my 11-year addiction to alcohol just as Jesus healed so many. Hallelujah!
