STORM THEOLOGY 101
If you follow my ministry, you have noticed my love for the Holy land. Every time I go, I go with eager anticipation like a kid looking forward to Christmas Day. God seems to show up in special ways. There is something special about walking where Jesus walked.
I cannot help but marvel every time I am on the boat in the middle of the Sea of Galilee. I remember Jesus was once in that spot asleep in the middle of a storm with waves and wind about to swamp the boat. The storm did not affect Jesus at all. The disciples said, “Teacher, do you not care that we are perishing?” (Mark 4:38). Sometimes it may seem that Jesus does not care but He always cares.
Maybe you have been struggling with an unseen storm that came out of nowhere. Waves of fear, anxiety and confusion may be threatening to drown you. You do not have to pray some grand prayer that has all the right words. Indeed, you may even shake upon the Rock but know the Rock will not shake under you. Your Savior will hear your cries and use His power on your behalf. In Mark 4:39, Jesus rebuked the waves and said to the sea, “Peace be still! And just like that, “the wind ceased and there was a great calm.” Notice a “GREAT CALM.”
DO YOU NEED A MIRACLE?
For some of you, Jesus is going to speak to your storm, “PEACE BE STILL.” He will heal your marriage. He will provide the money. He will answer the prayer. He will heal you. For others, the storm will rage on for a season and He will say to your heart, “PEACE BE STILL.” Your heart will be at peace.
Both are miraculous.
Sometimes the internal miracle of peace, when all hell is breaking loose, is the more impressive and impacting. The STORM CONTROLLER and PEACE GIVER is in your boat today.
his is STORM THEOLOGY 101.
PEACE BE STILL.
