From day one of professed belief in Jesus, the Messiah

With sincerity of heart to reject the fine veneer

Of appearing righteous before men

For their approval and applause

Instead choosing to please the One who died in my place to free me from the penalty of death, the predetermined punishment for all who sin

To initiate a true life change beginning on the inside with the help of the promised Holy Spirit

Rejecting the wayward thoughts that continually pursue me, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes and the pride of life

Instead picking up my cross daily and presenting my body as a living sacrifice

Loving God first, above all, with all my heart, soul, mind and strength

And loving others as I love myself, not wanting them to perish, pointing to the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, who, united in purpose before time began, made a Way, so none would have to perish

Speaking the truth, in love, at every opportunity with the ongoing consideration that I represent the One who called and sent me as an ambassador within my circle of influence

Never wanting to tarnish his Great Name by my thoughts, words or behavior

Doing my best, by staying in God’s word daily, to present myself to him as one approved, a workman who doesn’t need to be ashamed of the Name of Jesus, and who correctly interprets his revealed truth in the Bible

Being joyful

Praying continually

Giving thanks for all things, good or bad

That keep me on the narrow path that leads to eternal life and eternal peace in his presence

Growing in relationship with Father, Son and Spirit through daily quiet time and speaking to him throughout the events of the day, always checking in with him

Striving to worship him in Spirit and in Truth

Not extinguishing the Holy Spirit’s fire, who clarifies to me the sure future prophesied within the pages of scripture which grow and strengthen my faith, necessary to please our Father in heaven

Being confident of things hoped for and assured of things not yet seen

Because he who promised these things is Faithful and will not leave any of his promises unfulfilled…

What no eye has seen or no ear heard, that which God has prepared for those who love him

Awaiting the redemption in the rapture, when the Blessed Hope arrives in the clouds to take all of the earth’s true believers home to his Father’s house

And being seated at the wedding supper of the Lamb, the marriage feast the Father has prepared for his Son’s marriage to the Bride of Christ, the Church

Become a part of the Bride of Christ and be saved from the coming time of tribulation, the wrath of God that will be poured out on all the sons of disobedience, those who have been led astray by Satan, who opposes every good thing God intends to give all men and women who love him and are obedient to his commands

The Bible indeed, is the only place that revealed truth can be found, the Way of salvation for all who take to heart the Truth of the red letters…

Greg’s journey into serious Bible reading and study began when his wife Janel, told him about a local men’s BSF (Bible Study Fellowship) group that met every Monday night. Once he started, he discovered daily time in God’s word was absolutely necessary to living a practical Christian life. After finishing the program, he committed this daily discipline drawing him into a closer fellowship with the Lord. With guidance from the Holy Spirit, and much prayer, Greg felt led to do more. He began by presenting the gospel on LinkedIn with short excerpts of commentary supported by God’s word. His mission is to encourage Christians to read the Bible and learn for themselves the truth of God’s word. His heart’s desire is to prompt Christians to prayerfully perform a self-evaluation to be certain that they have the Holy Spirit living within them and that they are indeed in the faith, certain of spending eternity with the Father, Son and Spirit. Greg and his wife Janel, are empty nesters residing in Sterling Heights, Michigan. They have two married children, Emily and Jordan, and one grandson Jack (Emily). You can find a variety of articles by Greg on Linkedin
