How is the so-called wisdom of the world described in the Word of God?
1 Corinthians 3:19, “The wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, “He catches the wise in their own craftiness.”
Proverbs 18:2, “A fool has no delight in understanding, but in expressing his own heart.”
Proverbs 18:2, “A fool has no delight in understanding, but in expressing his own heart.”
As such:
1 Corinthians 2:14, “The natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know them, because they are spiritually discerned.”
Proverbs 28:26, “He who trusts in his own heart is a fool, but whoever walks wisely will be delivered.”
The reason Jesus said:
Mark 7:20-22, “What comes out of a man, that defiles a man. For from within, out of the heart of men, proceed evil thoughts, adulteries, fornications, murders, thefts, covetousness, wickedness, deceit, lewdness, an evil eye, blasphemy, pride, foolishness.”
And then He added the solution:
Matthew 7:24, “Whoever hears these sayings of Mine, and does them, I will liken him to a wise man who built his house on the rock.”
Therefore:
Ephesians 5:15-16, “See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil.”
Do I espouse the foolishness of the world, or do I rather abide in the wisdom of Christ?
