Who Is Don Schin?

Don spent 23 years with two leading Fortune 500 companies. He gained extensive global experience, particularly in Asia. He worked for the largest manufacturer of connectors and passive devices in the world. After five years on two different assignments, living in Tokyo, he became fluent in Japanese.

In 2000, he left the corporate ‘rat race’ to step out on his own. Over the past 23 years, he has owned real estate, several businesses, and developed experience in the franchise, training, speaking and business development arenas.

Don previously owned three Master Franchise territories in Pennsylvania and New Jersey for ActionCOACH – a business coaching, consulting, and training company. Don was the very first master franchisee in the U.S. and successfully sold and exited the brand in 2015. In 2019, he was tapped as CEO, North America for ActionCOACH. Today Don brings the unique experience of being a franchisee, a multi-unit owner, a master franchisee, a franchisor executive, and a broker/consultant. He’s uniquely positioned to deliver this expertise through coaching, training, and speaking.

Today, Don owns a franchise broker and consulting company. They assist people in finding the ideal franchise to own. Additionally, His niche is emerging brands, getting a brand from 0 – 50 franchise units.

Don is also a seasoned professional speaker and author. He authored the book, Can you Relate? mapping out his most successful years in business so others can experience the same.

He is active in his community where his time is devoted to men’s groups, local churches, and non-profit boards including recent past chair of the Bethesda Mission, the largest rescue mission in Harrisburg, PA. He also served as the chaplain for a AA baseball team via Baseballchapel.org. Don enjoys spending time with his wife, Kim, of 45 years. They have two grown children and seven grandchildren.
