Joy & Happiness In Christ Jesus

In the Hebrew language, the word (Simcha) translates to mean inner joy, contentment, happiness as a direct result of spiritual growth, movement, and connection to (HaShem) or Abba our Father.

Abba has touched my heart and led me to speak of joy. Great joy and happiness that fills every breath we take, fills our hearts, and touches our very souls.

Come with me down memory lane as we visit special times and places each of us has experienced and walked through . . . Have you ever just sat and watched little children play?

Their world is filled with beautiful laughter and endless energy. They could be your children, your grandchildren, or just the children playing in a park. They run and chase each other as the world just passes them by.

Their world is new, and their curiosity is always reaching for more. Once more, they cannot get enough of life and run until they drop.

How about the sounds of a babies laughter. Nothing is more contagious, and nothing can put a smile into your heart faster. It is almost angelic and so beautifully innocent . . . Their whole world is dependent in and upon their trust in you.

As we see these beautiful children our own or others we cannot help but know they are blessings of Abba our Father.

Now, jumping ahead in time, how many of you can recall the immense joy you felt when you came to the Lord? Can you remember the joy and happiness you felt when you asked Christ Jesus into your hearts?

For many of us the joy was so intense that we were moved to tears . . . Abba had forgiven us, and eternity became reality. The world had been lifted from our shoulders and we joined others in our Christian family.

Just like the children we spoke of, we are Gods children! HALLELUJAH! And, our Father wants us to know and experience the joy and happiness of His Love. HALLELUJAH!

Joy and happiness are Abba’s desire for each of us . . . In Gods Holy Word, the Bible, the word joy appears over 100 times in the Old Testament as translated from fifteen different Hebrew words.

Joy and happiness are not just words or a silly feeling inside us. Joy, in its fuller, spiritual meaning of expressing Abba’s goodness, involves far more.

Joy is a deep-rooted, inspired happiness. The Bible says,“The joy of the Lord is your strength” (Nehemiah 8:10) The Bible says that God gives us both joy and peace. There is HEALING POWER in the joy of the Lord . . . and we should always remember that.

The word (Simach) appears 93 times in the Old Testament with its first occurrence in Genesis 31:27. And, the word (samach) occurs150 times. MEANING HAPPINESS & JOY

Then there is the word (sason) which translates exultation or rejoicing.

These old Hebrew words may not be in our vocabulary, but their meaning needs to be in our hearts. God has never intended us to live in depression or confusion.

Just as the children in the park have no end to their happiness and joy… so to God intends for us to know joy and happiness through His love. Our cup is to run over and pour out. This is the light everyone will see.

The Holy Bible is filled with Gods words of joy . . . His promises of hope and happiness in both Old Testament and in the New Testament. Scripture after scripture after scripture filled with a gift of God . . . a gift of happiness and joy.

John 15:10-12

“If (YOU) keep my commandments, (YOU) will abide in my love, just as I have kept my Fathers commandments and abide in His love.

These things I have spoken to you, that my (JOY) may be in you, and that (YOUR) joy may be full.

This is my commandment that you love one another as I have loved you.”

1 Chronicles 16:26-27
For all gods of peoples are worthless idols, but the LORD made the heavens.

Splendor and majesty are before Him; strength and (JOY) are in His place.

I hate long lengthy ramblings where someone tries to dazzle you.

God laid this on my heart to remind each of you that He intended for each of us to be filled with GREAT JOY AND HAPPINESS!

You want to make the devil mad? SMILE… He cannot take the love, joy, or happiness from you… We… you and I belong to the most high GOD our FATHER . . . And nobody and nothing can take us from His Holy Hands. These are not my words… these words are from our King Jesus.

Like the old song, “Don’t Worry be Happy,” be filled with the JOY and HAPPINESS of our Heavenly Father . . . This is His blessing . . . His gift to us…

God Bless you & AMEN

Most people call William Moorhead, “Papa Moose”. He brags that he is  married to an angel with her wings clipped. He and Marilyn have been married for nine years. Writing is something he never thought that he’d be called to do. However, God pricked his heart five years ago and he can’t put his pen down. He never knows what the subject will be or when God will stir his heart to write. It is Papa’s hope and prayer that his short stories will touch the hearts and minds of those who read them.
